The Doom, part 3 is the third part of chapter VII in the plot of Return of the Obra Dinn. It reveals the fate of seaman Abraham Akbar.

The Kraken has begun attacking the Obra Dinn and Wolff is in charge of the gunnery crew in the gun deck. As he was commanding the cannons, the Kraken reaches through the porthole and grabs a lit cannon, crushing Akbar between the cannon and the hull. The Kraken also grabs Wolff and presses him against the muzzle, and George Shirley attempts to free him.

  • Nobody's identity can be deduced based on this part alone.
  • This scene reveals how gunner Christian Wolff and seaman George Shirley ended up at the wrong end of the cannon as seen in The Doom, part 4: The Kraken wrapped its tentacle around Wolff and the cannon, pressing him against the muzzle, and Shirley attempted to free him. Akbar was crushed by the cannon before he could put out the lit fuse.

This memory is accessed via a body on the port side of the gun deck, under a flipped-over cannon by the gun ports.
