Nunzio Pasqua was an Italian passenger aboard the Obra Dinn during its final voyage in 1802. He was knifed by Second Mate Edward Nichols in the cargo hold.

Story and Fate[]

Pasqua is the only person of Italian origin on board, and he can play the fiddle.[1]

Pasqua wandered into the cargo hold and noticed a Formosan guard, Hok-Seng Lau, lying unconscious. Second Mate Edward Nichols was in the cargo hold attempting to access the Formosan chest Lau was guarding. His attempt thwarted, Nichols knifed Pasqua to cover up his crimes.

In the East India Company insurance assessment on the Obra Dinn incident, Pasqua's estate made no claim.[2]

Identification[]

Pasqua, the only Italian on board, can be identified during Murder, part 1 as he uses the Italian term signor to address Nichols. His fate and killer are revealed in the same chapter. Pasqua is also mentioned by name in Murder, part 2.

Appearances[]

Pasqua is one of the three people on board who appear alive in only one diorama.[3] Pasqua's only appearance is in Murder, part 1, although his corpse can be seen and interacted with in Murder, part 2. He also appears in the Under Way sketch.
